Last blog on 26th nov 2007 and its already 26th May 2008.. god only knows where the time disappears in the thin air..

was really getting bored today evening and thought of reading few blogs i have subscribed to ...
(yeah i have subscribed to to very selected ones being excited by reading their blogs, but hadrly got time to catch up with all of them... ) There is a pair of sisters (really!!!) named Supriya and Priya (what a rhyming names.. liked it.. but i do not remember whos the eldest of the two .. do i need that detail to be mentioned here... i do not know), they have composed quite good blogs.. (thats what i think) quite simplistic and many a times quite effective in conveying their point ... and more important - the originality in their content ( atleast it makes me believe its original content.. else no idea whats the bare truth .. just kidding..)
Anyways why m i praising them in my blog?? simple as pimple - one of their blogs led me to one of the sweet memory lane - to the age when the computers were not the most common thing in peoples life..
even though i am not a big fan of playing games on different consoles ( Xbox 360, nintendo ds lite, nintendo Wii.. PSP, PSP3, PSP2 and many more with many million more games on it.. ) but still remember my first games on my first computer - a PC/XT - a black and white screened (to be frank i found it to be more of green and white then balck and white) IBM with a 5 inch floppy drive ( not only CD, DVDs, 3.5 inch floppy drives are far apart venture for this computer ; m not sure how many of us would even remember seeing the 5 inch floppy drives.. I proudly own few till date the 5 inch floppy drives .. i hope they are still in the cupboard where i kept untill and unless they are been binned in my absence.. ) with command prompt being the only way to make the computer work - that means windows and mouse is still a future for this computer for sure..
took ages to start, but was the most exciting moments at that time to see some thing like that sitting on the most esteemed place in the house.. (usually in the room where we were allowed only on permission basis.. ) with continous fights with my siblings for who would get the first chance to play and also which game is to be loaded first in the computer ( do not remember clearly but with a faint memory , it took a good long process to change things ) some of the fav ones were - typing tutor, some cat game, skate board (the graphics on that game was amazing and made one feel that it was 'the ultimate piece of graphichs' :p , some english rhymes completing game, banner maker , lotus word pad!!! and quite a few of others....

seems this post is getting bigger and bigger then i expected it to be...
